Stem Cell Therapies

Mesenchymal Stem Cells

Over time, healthy tissue in our bodies can become dysfunctional due to age and/or injury. In regenerative medicine, new stem cells are injected into your degenerative tissue to enervate and reactivate your body’s dysfunctional cells.

Immediately the process begins to produce more healing stem cells in your joints and tissues and have the capacity to reproduce bone, tissue, and muscle in perpetuity. You may feel the effects of reduced inflammation immediately. However, generally the process of regeneration is a 6-10 month investment in your health.

The specific kinds of stem cells we use are top of the line mesenchymal stem cells. They are taken from two vital places of a human umbilical cord: from the Wharton’s jelly layer of the umbilical cord as well as placental tissue. (Refer to the image above.)

Mesenchymal Stem Cells 1

These rich, potent tissue sources are uniquely able to help protect, cushion and support injured parts of the body as well as aid the optimal regenerative environment. We administered only mesenchymal stem cells to a recipient to repair, reconstruct, replace, or supplement the same basic functions of the patient’s own stem cells or tissues.

What stem-cell therapy can do is add new stem cells where your dysfunctional cells had stopped working. For instance, when your joints ache or you have pain in one specific part of your body, these new stem cells begin working as if they were your own, as in the process of healing a cut. A healthy body immediately allows the blood to clot, a scab to form, and the stem cells then produce a new skin layer. When our own stem cells get older and dysfunction, often a new surge of a unique kind of stem cell can be injected into a degenerated part of your body, such as a hip or knee joint.

These special stem cells are known as melancholy stem cells. You can be on the cutting edge of modern medicine when you receive these plenipotentiary stem cell treatments. The regenerative cells, which would have been used to nurture an infant as it grows within a healthy, American, pregnant mother are collected from an umbilical cord of a fully formed infant, donated by a healthy mother, and then immediately frozen.

Then the cells are scientifically separated and counted, tested for disease, but never grown or expanded. After careful and medical oversight, the cells are injected into your painful joint. They literally rejuvenate your degenerative cells. This healing and rejuvenation process begins immediately, reducing inflammation and continuing reproduction continually after the injection, with an 80-85% success rate.

This means that a vast majority of our patients will have renewed usage of their dysfunctional joint and relief of painful joint stress in a matter of months without any surgical intervention. The great news: this therapy has only the minimal discomfort of an injection.

Just to let you know, any injection done at Florida Stem CellMD is always accompanied by Lidocane, which will ease even the small amount of discomfort caused by the injection. Dr. Neel Amin is a certified Pain Specialist. He knows pain and how to stop it.

There are 4 kind of Mesenchymal stem cell

  • Amniocyte™

  • Amniocyte Plus™

  • PolyCyte™

  • CoreCyte™

Through rigorous research, we have identified the Wharton’s jelly layer of the umbilical cord, as well as placental tissue to be the richest sources of regenerative properties. It’s from these two sources that Predictive Biotech, the company that provides our stem cells, derives our four key products, each containing a unique blend of cytokines (growth factors, which are secreted by certain cells of the immune system and have an effect on other cells), proteins, growth factors and scaffolding properties(known to interact and/or bind with multiple members of a signalling pathway, tethering them into complexes): the functional factors involved in the reconstruction, repair, and protection of human tissue.

After all, we think products that cooperate with your body’s natural functions are the best way to help everybody’s body. Just as one injury is different from another, Predictive’s products are different from one another. Key contributing factors to regenerative medicine are cytokines, proteins, growth factors and scaffolding properties. All these factors are naturally occurring in all of our products, but with varying levels to serve various purposes. Consult the grid below to understand the unique concentrations of regenerative factors in our products and to compare them to others in the market.

So in the event of injury, the body relies upon more than just a stem cell. It needs the complex rally of many cells and proteins to help start or aid the regenerative process and get it back up to speed. That’s where we come in, replenishing what the body needs, where the body needs it, to better maintain the whole. All Predictive Biotech’s products are allogeneically (belonging to or obtained from the same species) sourced, which means they are derived from donor tissue for use by another person. No blood is ever taken from your own spinal cord to produce these stem cells.

AmnioCyteTM is a minimally manipulated human tissue allograft (a tissue graft from a donor of the same species as the recipient but not genetically identical) derived from amniotic fluid, processed to preserve the cytokines, growth factors, and proteins in amniotic fluid for homologous(similar in position, structure, and evolutionary origin but not necessarily in function) use. These innovative human cell and tissue products are processed in an FDA registered lab.

Key Characteristics of Amniotic Fluid

  • Amniotic fluid undergoes dynamic changes during the multiple developmental periods in order to sustain fetal growth and wellbeing. Amniotic fluid contains growth factors carbohydrates, proteins, amino acids and a multitude of essential molecules.

  • Amniotic fluid also plays a very important role in providing a protective cushioning and acts as a lubricant to allow for easier fetal movement and promoting muscular/skeletal development.

Amniocyte PlusTM

Mesenchymal Stem Cells 3

AmnioCyte PlusTM has all the above plusscaffolding proteins. The extracellular matrix of the amniotic membrane contains a high concentration of cellular scaffolding, cytokines, growth factors and proteins.

PolyCyteTM is a minimally manipulated human tissue allograft derived from the Wharton’s Jelly of the umbilical cord, processed to preserve cytokines, growth factors, and proteins of Wharton’s jelly for homologous use.

These innovative human cell and tissue products are processed in an FDA registered lab. These minimally manipulated tissue products are prepared utilizing proprietary production methods that reduce the loss of important proteins, cytokines, and growth factors.

Key Characteristics of Wharton’s Jelly

The cushioning and support elements from the Wharton’s jelly consist of a network of proteins, cytokines, chemokines (any of a class of cytokines with functions that include attracting white blood cells to sites of infection) and growth factors. Hyaluronic acid (a polysaccharide (sugar molecules bonded together), which is one of the chief components of connective tissue, forming a gelatinous matrix that surrounds cells is the most abundant component of the glycosamnioglycans (a group of compounds occurring chiefly as components of connective tissue) found in the umbilical cord matrix. Hyaluronic acid is also a key factor in the viscoelastic(exhibiting both elastic and viscous behavior when deformed) properties in synovial fluid of joints.

CoreCyteTM is a minimally manipulated human tissue allograft derived from the Wharton’s jelly of the umbilical cord, processed to preserve the integrity of Wharton’s jelly for homologous use and cryogenically (frozen) preserved. These innovative human cells and tissue products are processed in an FDA registered lab. The minimally manipulated tissue products are prepared utilizing proprietary production methods that reduce the loss of important proteins, cytokines and growth factors.

Wharton’s jelly is a gelatinous substance in the umbilical cord that provides cushioning and support to the umbilical vein and arteries. The cushioning and protective elements from Wharton’s jelly consist of a network of proteins, pericytes (are multi-functional mural cells of the microcirculation that wrap around the endothelial cells that line the capillaries and venules throughout the body. A deficiency of pericytes in the central nervous system can cause the blood–brain barrier to break down), mesenchymal stem cells, cytokines, chemokines and growth factors.

Human Exosomes

Mesenchymal Stem Cells 5

Placental mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) are characterized by their self-renewing capacity and ability to differentiate into chondrocytes (cells that have secreted the matrix of cartilage and become embedded in it), adipocytes (cells specialized for the storage of fat, found in connective tissue), and osteocytes (bone cell formed when an osteoblast becomes embedded in the matrix it has secreted). This makes these stem cells attractive starting materials for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications.

Since few transplanted cells persist in vivo (performed or taking place in a living organism), the beneficial effects of cell therapy may lie in the secreted factors being the active component of this treatment. A key part of paracrine(relating to or denoting a hormone which has effect only in the vicinity of the gland secreting it) secretion is Exosomes, which are membrane vesicles that are stored intracellularly(within a cell) in endosomal compartments(temporal sorting stations where the fate of endocytosed cargo is determined) and are secreted when these structures fuse with the cell plasma membrane.
